Cold Fronts, Abi Reimold and Edelweiss will face-off at Mad Dragon Music Group’s Battlefest II, performing round-robin style at the Pearlstein Gallery in Drexel’s URBN Center Annex on Wednesday, February 24th.
Less battle of the bands and more Jools Holland-esque showcase, the local outfits will be set up simultaneously and will perform one song at a time before handing the mic off to the next group. Continue reading →

Dominique Galluscio is serious about her music gear. Edelweiss caught me off guard a little bit. As I opened their bandcamp page and clicked to play their song “Withering Heights,” I was instantly hooked. The song begins on a forceful downbeat followed by a mesmerizing guitar riff that had me nodding my head. It quickly progresses into a faster, more intense guitar bit and then into faded, lo-fi vocals. There is something about Edelweiss that is so established that it makes me wonder why I hadn’t heard of them until recently. Their vibe is punk-pop vibe with an alt-indie edge. I think we can expect a lot from the foursome from Stroudsburg, PA at Make Music Philly.
