Philly four-piece Cyberbully Mom Club have released the video for their bedroom pop track, “FRIENDS.”

Directed by Michael Williams and Ryan Bender, the video shows the group performing the track in pumped-up glory, then sitting together on a couch, less amused, watching the footage on TV. Very meta of you, CMC.

The video is telling of the group’s laid back dynamic; frontwoman Shari Heck cracks a smile throughout the video, even when singing a song that opens with “And I get so scared of all this sadness.”

Philly bedroom-pop group Cyberbully Mom Club recently released FOOTWEARand you may or may not have just a couple more weeks left to listen. They added on the Bandcamp page, “disappearing in april because this is a secret, temporary march ep.” Believe what you will, but Footwear holds some goodies, like the up-tempo “Philadelphia II,” with lyrics like,”I’ll walk for hours with a racing brain / And I’ll always end up home / In Philadelphia / I never feel alone.”

FOOTWEAR also takes on a somber lo-fi feel, following their pumped up full-band track, “Friends,” released in February. Continue reading →
