Pittsburgh singer-songwriter Joy Ike comes to Burlap and Bean in Newtown Square tonight. In 2013, she released her third LP, All or Nothing – a collection of whimsical arrangements, pop melodies and personal lyricism that caught the ear of her local radio station WYEP as well as NPR’s All Songs Considered. Fire Museum presents Fursaxa, Tropical Rock and Itasca at The First Banana

Fire Museum will present a line-up of avant-garde musicians at The First Banana in Kensington on February 21st. The concert will feature the meditative, acid-washed compositions of Philadelphia / upstate artist Fursaxa, supported by Brooklyn “cyberjungle” duo Tropical Rock and their minimalist electronic cassette 3 Lewej. L.A.’s Itasca brings her recent Unmoored by the Wind LP to life through intricate finger-picking and lo-fi folk songs, rounding out a night of natural-world inspiration and other-world exploration.
