Stream “60 is Greater Than 15,” a new song from Girls Against Boys (playing Johnny Brenda’s on 9/12)

Following up April’s “It’s a Diamond Life” single (which followed up 2002’s You Can’t Fight What You Can’t See), New York via DC outfit Girls Against Boys will release their new EP The Ghost Life on September 24th.  What started as a Fugazi side project in 1988 has since taken on a life of its own, releasing six full-lengths throughout the nineties.  This new material from the post-hardcore band is in your face and heavy, picking up right where GvsB left off despite the eleven year hiatus (though it seems like they’ve updated their sound a bit with the inclusion of a bass-y synth that runs through the track).  Tickets and information for the September 12th show at Johnny Brenda’s with Coliseum and David Yow can be found here.  Listen “60 is Greater Than 15” off of the new EP below.

DC / NYC post hardcore outfit Girls Against Boys have reunited and will be touring over the next several months.  Fugazi drummer Brendan Canty organized the band as a side project in the late 80s before handing over the reigns to co-founder Eli Janney, who is now joined by Scott McCloud, Johnny Temple and Alexis Fleisig.  With their most recent release dating back to 2002’s You Can’t Fight What You Can’t See, Girls Against Boys will embark on the upcoming tour with a new EP in tow.  Tickets for their September 12th show at Johnny Brenda’s go on sale Friday, April 26th at noon; more information will be available here.  Stream and download a new track called “It’s a Diamond Life” here.
