A Solid Soundtrack to any Daydream: Listen to Harmony Tividad’s Yes and Hello EP

Outside of her role as one half of the folk-punk duo Girlpool, Harmony Tividad produces lo-fi electro-inspired music as a solo act. Her latest three-track EP, Yes and Hello, showed up on Bandcamp on September 8.

Opening track “Costume Jewelry” has a few lines of gentle vocals, allowing listeners to better appreciate the simple percussion-driven production. The lyrics could easily have been overshadowed had the song been more dense, but right now they’re in balance, reflecting on roles people play: “I’m running away so fast i call it off / million dollar kids buy dreams in terrycloth.” Continue reading →
