Tonight’s Concert Picks: Eleni Mandell at World Cafe Live and Alex Tyson/Jesse Kudler at PhilaMOCA


Talented singer/songwriter Eleni Mandell plays tonight at World Cafe Live upstairs. She just released her eleventh studio album, I can See the Future, produced by Joe Chiccarelli (The Shins, White Stripes). Henry Wolfe opens the show at 8 PM. Tickets to the all ages show are $10 in advanced and $12 day of show.

The weekly Tuesday Tune-Out at PhilaMOCA happens tonight, curated by Herb Shellenberger. Featured performers include Alex Tyson, a Philadelphia film maker and intermedia artist. He is also the co-founder of Data Garden, an experimental music label. At tonight’s performance, he will be experimenting with various analog synthesizers. Joining him is Jesse Kudler, a musician who creates and experiments with electronic and 8-bit music using only computer technology. He is also the co-founder of the Philadelphia Sound Forum.
