Ill Fated Natives kick off Hope & Fury concert series at La Colombe

When you think of live music in a coffee shop, what might come to mind is someone in the corner with an acoustic guitar singing soft, sleepy songs. Fortunately, La Colombe has a different idea. Next Friday, June 1, the coffee chain is kicking off its music-meets-activism Hope & Fury concert series at its Fishtown location with a performance by Philly trio ill Fated Natives and a panel discussion on social issues.

According to La Colombe’s website, the mission of the series is to “[showcase] voices of the community to drive conversations around hard topics with the goal of making the world a better and fairer place for all people.” Continue reading →
