Ian Hunter, forever aligned as the frontman of the the legendary Mott The Hoople has a new solo album out with the Rant Band called When I’m President. While we are unsure as to what his proposed plans for health care and the economy are, we are sure of one thing: he’s got a proven record to rock. Kendrick Lamar is an emerging rapper from Los Angeles who’s been praised for balancing hard-hitting contemporary hiphop sounds with a message behind the music. His album good kid, m.A.A.d city is being released on Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Records in October, and he plays The TLA on South Street tonight.
