Newly formed jazz/funk trio ill Delta were the focus of the latest Brighton Sound Session.  The Philadelphia-based project of Tim Brey (piano), Justin Sekelewski (bass) and Kevin Ripley (drums) recorded a sleek performance of their trickling, structurally-intricate track “Dark Chocolate,” cut live against a backdrop of colorful lights and shadows.  ill Delta marks a change of pace for session partners Brighton Sound Studio and Seven Knots Productions, stepping out of the indie rock genre of past collaborators.
