Local punk rock band Hound help get things started at Kung Fu Necktie tonight.  Led by self-professed nacho eater, t-shirt hobbyist and JEFF the Brotherhood roadie Perry Shall, Hound are a bit of an enigma with just one demo EP up on their Bandcamp, but it’s more than enough to satisfy any headbanging urge you might have.  The lack of online presence for Hound could be due to the fact that Shall is a busy man, creating artwork for the aforementioned Brotherhood as well as a number of record labels when he’s not rocking out with his other (beachy-er) punk trio Dry Feet.  Tickets and information for the 21+ show with Illegals, Dope Stroke and GA$H can be found here.  Stream “Cold Blooded” from Hound’s demo EP below.

South African choral group Ladysmith Black Mambazo will perform at Musikfest Cafe tonight.  Boasting a career of over forty years, Black Mambazo were introduced to the global community through Paul Simon’s mid-eighties album Graceland, which featured the all-male group’s harmonies.  In 2011 Black Mambazo released Songs From A Zulu Farm, earning them both a Grammy Award nomination and a South African Music Awards nomination.  Tickets and information for tonight’s show in Bethlehem can be found here.  Below, them perform “Wentomb’unecala.”
