Last Friday night at 3rd and Lindsley, the Nashville music community was out in full force to celebrate the release of singer-songwriter Lera Lynn‘s excellent new collection of duets, Plays Well With Others.

The new collection of songs features collaborations with Dylan LeBlanc, Peter Bradley Adams, JD McPherson, Rodney Crowell, Andrew Combs, Shovels & Rope, Nicole Atkins, and John Paul White. All of Lynn’s collaborators – except for McPherson and Shovels & Rope – were on hand for the evening, in front of an enthusiastic sold-out crowd. Continue reading →

Tonight’s Concert Picks: Strange Parts at Johnny Brenda’s and John Paul White at World Cafe Live

Tonight, Johnny Brenda’s welcomes indie-pop duo Strange Parts. They caught our eye at WXPN with the late summer release of their song “Asleep in the Flowers” and we are excited to see them playing more and more shows in Philly. Expect to be mesmerized by the dreamy layered tracks put forth by Strange Parts, as well as the headliner: neo-blues / rock artist Adia Victoria, who was named an artist to watch by WXPN.
