Last night at Union Transfer, the Jose Gonzalez-fronted Junip brought its folk-infused, majestically arranged indie rock to Philly, on tour in support of its self-titled latest LP. Opening the show was Philadelphia songwriter and singer Birdie Busch and her band, who released the equally folky / vibey Birdie Busch and the Greatest Night earlier this year. Check out photos from the show in the gallery below.
The new self-titled album from Junip will be released on April 23rd on Mute Records. Junip is fronted by singer-songwriter Jose Gonzalez and includes Elias Araya on drums and Tobias Winterkorn on keyboards. The band plays Union Transfer on Sunday, June 16th.
