Listen to “Drift Away,” a new single from Bleeding Rainbow

It was a bummer when Philly’s Bleeding Rainbow pushed back the release of their Kanine Records debut Yeah Right to January 29 – it was supposed to be out next week – but as a consolation prize, the band released a shreddy / poppy new single this week that’s making us even more excited for the album. Listen to “Drift Away” over at Soundcloud, trip away to the music video for their last single “Pink Ruff,” and start counting the days until you can get your hands on Yeah Right. (As of this writing, it’s 118 days away.)

On Monday, the band got to hear the finished version of their new record Yeah Right for the first time, and Garcia reports that the pie chart plan succeeded. Continue reading →

Watch a trailer for Bleeding Rainbow’s new album Yeah Right (out on Kanine Records in October)

After being wowed in concert a few times by their new four-piece configuration, I was excited this afternoon to get my first recorded taste of the epic distortion pedal jams that have been simmering over at camp Bleeding Rainbow. The band released a trailer for their forthcoming album, Yeah Right, to Vimeo this afternoon, along with the official announcement that Kanine Records would be releasing their record (do we call it their debut? Or is it their third full-length?) on October 9. I chatted with singer-guitarist Rob Garcia about the news; look for that interview tomorrow afternoon. In the meantime, pop on a pair of headphones and crank the blissful noise in the video below.
