This month’s episode of Shaking Through—the online audio and video collaboration between Weathervane Music and WXPN—features a new song by La Big Vic, “Musica.” The Brooklyn-based electro-drone trio was selected by guest curator Elise O. (of Pixelhorse); the song will appear on the band’s upcoming album, Actually, which will be released by Underwater Peoples.
From the Shaking Through folks:
LA BIG VIC is violinist and music blogger, Emilie Friedlander, analog synth guru, Peter Pearson and Japanese synthesist and guitar player, Toshio Masuda. Their massive soundscapes recall the late 90s electro drone of Eltro, PanSonic and Bowry Electric …. all, of course, tipping their hats to Krautrock luminaries such as Can, Faust, and Kraftwerk.
You can listen to “Musica” below; visit the Shaking Through website to see photos, interviews, and and more from the session.
