Laetitia Sadier, former frontwoman of the nineties British post-rock group Stereolab, is releasing her latest solo album, Silencio, on Drag City out July 24th. The lovely Sadier’s magnetic vocals stand up straight next to each song’s soft and chiming melodies. While most songs are in English, the album sporadically transitions into French, but no matter the language, the record delivers a passionate and thorough performance. Silencio is now streaming in its entirety on NPR. Go here to listen to the album and pre-order it here. Sadier comes to Johnny Brenda’s on September 23rd. Go here to purchase tickets to the 21+ show.
