You’re invited: the Mural Arts Open Source Latin Roots Block Party on Saturday, October 3rd

As part of the Mural Arts Open Source initiative, WXPN’s Latin Roots – in collaboration with AL DÍA News Media, AfroTaino Productions, and Raíces Culturales Latinoamericanas, are presenting a block party on Saturday, October 3rd.

The free block party is taking place at 8th and Susquehanna Streets in North Philly starting at Noon. Live music and art will come together as part of the Open Source art project with performances from Puerto Rico’s Calma Carmona and Philly based Dende & Band. DJ Rahsaan will be playing a mix of Latin, soul, Afro-Cuban, and hip-hop music throughout the afternoon. Continue reading →
