Dublin native / Philadelphia transplant John Byrne will take part in the North Star Bar‘s Victorian Dining Room Series tonight. Byrne was formally the front-man for Irish folk band Patrick’s Head. Following the release of his debut solo record After the Wake in 2010, the singer-songwriter sold out World Cafe Live multiple times and opened for a number of well-known acts including Enter the Haggis and The Hothouse Flowers. Ani DiFranco, John Hiatt, and Little Feat are part of the Scottish Rite Series at the Scottish Rite Auditorium in Collingswood. Difranco performs October 23, John Hiatt And The Combo on November 10, and Little Feat on December 30. Hiatt is releasing a new album on August 2nd called Dirty Jeans And Mudslide Hymns.
