Download Kuf Knotz’s new single, “Sunny Philadelphia”; lament the fact that it’s not an accurate weather prediction

Kuf Knotz

“Just a lovely day/ Yeah, I’m feeling like a million bucks/ Through the window the sunshine woke me up,” sings Kuf Knotz in the opening moments of “Sunny Philadelphia,” the first single off his new solo debut, Boombox Logic. Well, Kuf might not be much of a weatherman, but he’s still one of our favorite hip hop artists in the city. “Sunny Philadelphia” isn’t exactly the perfect soundtrack for the gray, wet scene going on outside our office window (yet again), but we’re still mighty pleased that MAD Dragon Records said we could give the song away for free today. Kuf Knotz’s record-release show begins at 10 p.m. Saturday, October 16, at World Cafe Live; tickets to the 21+ show are $10.
