Celebrate the 3rd anniversary of Making Time RADio with Dave P this Friday night

makingtimeplaylist Making Time RAdio celebrates it’s third anniversary on the airwaves at WXPN tomorrow night, Friday, August 9 at 7 p.m. The show, hosted by Dave P, debuted on July 30, 2010 and DJ Dave played music by Phantogram, Kraftwerk, CFCF, Simian Mobile Disco, Aeroplane, and others (playlist above). Dave’s a big fan of the anniversary celebration so expect the futuristic jams to flow on the show. It starts at 7 p.m. Let us know you’ll be joining the party here. Tonight: Dave P returns to the XPN airwaves with Making Time RADio (MT mega-rager happening at Vouyer)

Ever the expert on futuristic sounds, DJ Dave P returns to the XPN airwaves tonight for the April edition of Making Time RADio. He’ll doubtless be exploring some of the artists performing at the mega-stacked Making Time rager happening at Vouyer on April 12th (on the bill are Autre Ne Veut, Delorean, Jacques Greene and Doldrums, and it goes until 3:30 a.m.), and stay tuned when his show wraps up for the premier of The Indie Rock Hit Parade hosted by Eric Schuman. Tonight: Making Time RADio returns to XPN

After a brief hiatus due to the Penn Quaker Basketball season, Making Time RADio will return to XPN Tonight! DJ Dave P’s Indie Rock dance party hits the airwaves at 10p.m. and you can listen on XPN’s website or by tuning into 88.5 FM in Philadelphia. As you can see from the above chalk board, Dave P has a lot of great artists lined up. Check out new music from one of the bands, Toro Y Moi, in the video for “Say That” below.

Simian Mobile Disco release new EP, playing Making Time in December

Simian Mobile Disco, the electronic duo from London comprised of producers James Ford and Jas Shaw, will be hitting the stage at December 7th’s Making Time party with Dave P.  Last week the duo released an EP called A Form of Change with material taken from the sessions of their acclaimed Unpatterns album.  The Making Time event will take place at Voyuer Night Club; tickets are $10 to $15 here, and doors open at 9:00 p.m.  Stream the title track of the EP here, and then listen in on their interview and DJ set with Making TIme’s Dave P during FYF Fest.
