Tonight’s Concert Pick: Midge Ure at Tellus360

Midge Ure brings a solo acoustic tour to Tellus360 in Lancaster tonight. The former Ultravox frontman and Thin Lizzy guitarist released his seventh solo record Fragile last year, reaching back to his roots in 80s pop sonically while staying in the moment lyrically. Ure discussed the tour and his musical history with The Washington Times last week; check out that interview here and watch him perform “Vienna” live on The Late Late Show below. Tonight’s Concert Picks: Mischief Brew at Underground Arts, The Chairman Dances at MilkBoy, Midge Ure of Ultravox at World Cafe Live, XPN Welcomes Paula Cole at The Sellersville Theater

Carnivalesque folk / punk band Mischief Brew play Underground Arts tonight.  Born out of former Orphans front-man Erik Petersen’s basement, the local rockers released Rhapsody for Knives in 2012, an EP comprised of three songs that were not included on 2011′s full-length The Stone Operation.  Tickets and information for tonight’s 21+ show with Mucca Pazza and On the Water can be found here.  Below, watch a live video of Mischief Brew rocking out at The Barbary from last August.
