British ska revival group The English Beat will be performing this evening with The Paul Collins Beat at World Café Live. The English Beat, spearheaded by Dave Wakeling, recorded three albums together between 1980 and 1982. The all-ages show tonight will start at 8; more ticket information can be found here. Aspiga Returns to North Star on Thursday; Prepares for Release of Every Last Piece


South Jersey pop punk band Aspiga, who just ended their tour with Broadcaster, will be opening for The Ataris, Red City Radio and The Scandals this Thursday, October 4th at North Star Bar. Aspiga, who was just picked up by Paper + Plastick Records, also announced the November 20 release of their upcoming album, Every Last Piece, which will feature seven new songs.
