As a bonus Key Session this afternoon, we bring you the final video from our first-ever video collaboration with Philadelphia Music Mag, this time spotlighting West Philly Rapper Peedi Crakk. An alum of the grounbreaking 2000′s Philly rap collective State Property, Peedi tells us about finding variety in hiphop, his unique approach to writing lyrics and how rap is just one of his creative outlets. Watch the video (which, heads up, has some NSFW language towards the end) below. Also, even though you don’t see her onscreen, we’d like to give a shoutout to DJ Afrodjiak – she conducted the interviews, she curated the musicans, and without her, this group of videos would not have been possible.

This weekend at WXPN studios, we recorded a collaborative Key Sessions video with the good folks at local blog Philadelphia Music Magazine. A trio led by versatile local bassist Rodney “Rah M Sungee” Miller – also featuring drummer Charlie “Chaz Patz” Patierno and keyboard player Elliot “El Smooth” Garland – played house band to MCs Ethel Cee and Reef the Lost Cauze. Later, State Property alum Peedi Crakk performed, backed by a DJ. Everyone involved was interviewed by PMM founders Jamica “DJ Afrodjiak” El and Damion Ward, and you can look for the resulting videos later this summer. For now, check out a slideshow of the day above, and check out Ethel Cee’s awesome video for “150″ below.
