Divine Fits are playing tonight at Union Transfer in support of their debut album, A Thing Called Divine Fits, which was released in August. An indie supergroup of sorts, Divine FIts is spearheaded by Spoon‘s Britt Daniel, New Bomb Turks’ Sam Brow, and Dan Boeckner of Wolf Parade and Handsome Furs. Seattle post-punk band The Intelligence recently premiered their video for “Hippy Provider” from this year’s album, Everybody’s Got It Easy But Me. The Intelligence is playing with King Tuff and Poor Moon Monday night at Johnny Brenda’s; tickets for the 21+ show are available here. Check out the video for “Hippy Provider” below.
Poor Moon is Casey Wescott and Christian Wargo of Fleet Foxes and brothers Ian and Peter Murray. The band’s self-titled debut is being released on Sub Pop Records on August 28th. Named for a 1970 song by Canned Heat, Poor Moon’s celestial acoustics and harmonies recall that of the Fleet Foxes yet with it’s own stamp of musical ambiance.
