Taking a break in between two massive sold-out shows at Union Transfer, the Alaska-based pop twisters packed fan favorites into 35 minutes of pure euphoria.

Just Announced: Cage the Elephant and Portugal. The Man will play The Mann’s Skyline Stage

In what is bound to be an energized double-bill of epic proportions, modern rockers Cage the Elephant and Portugal. The Man just announced a Philadelphia gig on Thursday, May 12th at the Skyline Stage of The Mann Center for the Performing Arts.

Cage the Elephant released its Dan Auerbach-produced fourth LP Tell Me I’m Pretty back in December, via RCA Records. Portugal. The Man’s most recent outing is 2013’s Evil Friends, though they have reportedly been in the studio working on its follow-up with collaborators ranging from Mike D to Mac Miller. Continue reading →

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia to bring you a slightly outrageous video called “Eternal High-Five,” promoting their new album Evil Friends. Produced by Danger Mouse, Portugal. The Man’s seventh studio album was released on June 4th.The video does indeed include an eternal high five between singer John Gourley and Glenn Howerton (aka Dennis from the It’s Always Sunny gang). It’s chock-full of disses, bad animation, and some self-deprecating humor. It’s also better if you watch it by yourself. The video is well timed; Portugal. The Man plays Philadelphia with Skaters at The TLA tonight, but it is decidedly not sunny out. Watch the craziness below.


Portugal. The Man Stream Their New Album on Tumblr (playing TLA 6/7)

Portugal. The Man has been streaming their new album, Evil Friends, as of last night on Tumblr. The Progressive Psychedelic rockers’s new album drops on June 4, but you can stream the entire thing here while also perusing some photography and awesomely weird artwork from their exhibit “ALL THE FEELS,” in Los Angeles (featuring work by The Fantastic The, INSA, and Danger Mouse). Portugal. The Man is currently on tour and is coming to Philly to play the Theater of the Living Arts on June 7 with SKATERS. Tickets can be found here. Just Announced: Portugal. The Man to play TLA October 23rd

Alaskan psychedelic rock band will be hitting the TLA on October 23rd with Alberta Cross as part of a world tour in support of the new LP In The Mountain, In the Cloud, according to Paste. In The Mountain, In The Cloud came out today on Atlantic Records. Tickets for the show go on sale July 22nd.
