Before her death in 2016 Sharon Jones recorded one last album with the Dap-Kings called Soul Of A Woman. There’s already been two posthumous music video releases, and now comes the third for the song “Searching for a New Day.”

Just Announced: Philly legends Hall & Oates to headline the BB&T Pavilion in July

Nostalgic Philadelphians, rejoice! Philly legends Hall & Oates are coming home — well, technically Camden, but close enough — for a show at the BB&T Pavilion on July 10th. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame duo can’t seem to get enough of their hometown as of late, having just played the grand opening at the Fillmore in October.

Just Announced: Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings will play Union Transfer on 5/30

Soulful Brooklyn outfit Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings will bring their new record to Union Transfer on May 30th.  Give the People What They Want was released last week to follow up 2010’s LP I Learned the Hard Way.  Fans got a sneak preview of the album last May with “Retreat,” which you can listen to below.  Tickets for the all-ages show will go on sale this Friday, January 24th.  More information will be available here.
