Shelby Lynne sure knows how to get a crowd’s attention. Backed by a stellar band that featured The Figgs’ Pete Donnelly, Lynne performed songs from her new record I Can’t Imagine in addition to celebrating the 15 year anniversary of I Am Shelby Lynne with hit single “Gotta Get Back.” “She Knows Where She Goes,” originally recorded as a duet with her sister Allison Moorer, was a stand-out with three-part harmonies and lap steel guitar. Soulful country crooner Shelby Lynne will take on the Keswick Theater this summer on June 21st where WXPN welcomes the artist to perform two of her albums, I Am Shelby Lynne and latest I Can’t Imagine, in their entirety. Singer-songwriter Shelby Lynne releases a new live collection of songs, Live At McCabe’s, as part of a deluxe edition of Revelation Road on October 16th on her own Everso Records. In addition to the original record, the edition includes Live At McCabe’s, a Live in London DVD featuring Shelby’s concert shot at Union Chapel, London on February 25, 2012 and a DVD containing Jason Harter’s documentary on the making of Revelation Road. “Your Lies” was originally on Lynne’s now classic, Grammy Award winning I Am Shelby Lynne, released in 1999.
