On the last edition of Making Time RADio, Dave P welcomed British electronic dance duo Simian Mobile Disco live on the air to perform a freeform set as a warmup for their appearance at Philly’s Club Voyeur later that evening. XPN Welcomes emerging indie three-piece Guards to Kung Fu Necktie tonight. The New York project is spearheaded by Richie James Follin, frontman for Willowz and a former live guitarist for Cults (which his sister Madeline sings for). The group’s doom-meets-power pop vibe makes their seven-track EP an unexpected dance party staple, which you can pick for free below. Simian Mobile Disco on XPN’s Making Time RADio tomorrow

London electronic duo Simian Mobile Disco will be stopping by Making Time RADio this Friday to play a live set. The entire session will be streaming live on the WXPN website or on the radio dial at 88.5 FM beginning at 7 p.m. The appearance comes right before the UK production team’s set at Voyeur night club later that evening for DJ Dave P’s Making Time party. Simian Mobile Disco may be best known for the Justice remix of their previous band Simian’s song “Never Be Alone” (“We Are Your Friends“) as well as remixing tracks from Muse and Klaxons. Simian Mobile Disco release new EP, playing Making Time in December

Simian Mobile Disco, the electronic duo from London comprised of producers James Ford and Jas Shaw, will be hitting the stage at December 7th’s Making Time party with Dave P.  Last week the duo released an EP called A Form of Change with material taken from the sessions of their acclaimed Unpatterns album.  The Making Time event will take place at Voyuer Night Club; tickets are $10 to $15 here, and doors open at 9:00 p.m.  Stream the title track of the EP here, and then listen in on their interview and DJ set with Making TIme’s Dave P during FYF Fest.
