Psychedelic post-punk outfit Far-Out Fangtooth have released the video for “Beyond Your Bones,” a track off of their sophomore LP Borrowed Time. Premiered on Stereogum, the hallucinogenic, image-driven motif is as creepy and disturbing as it is visually stunning. In Far-Out Fangtooth’s recent interview with The Key, the track is described as “a desolate, goth-like analysis of one’s place in the crowd,” and the video’s conglomeration of fleeting faces intertwined with distorted, focus-shifting color imagery manifests that theme well. As the song swells, so do the kaleidoscopic images in the video, and the result is a hazy, trippy dream. Far-Out Fangtooth celebrates the release of Borrowed Time at Boot and Saddle this Saturday; tickets and information on the show can be found here.
Breakout English pop-soul artist Jessie Ware last week announced plans to tour in the United States, including a January 18th show at Union Transfer. Ware’s debut album, Devotion, was released in August to critical acclaim: Stereogum called it “an announcement of a major talent arriving; Pitchfork said Ware’s debut effort was a “uniquely soulful masterclass.” Ware’s b-sides and remix EP, 110%, is scheduled to be released in December.
