This month’s edition of Communion Club night at Underground Arts gets a seductive R&B makeover tonight with a set from newcomer Johnny Stimson. Flaunting an effortless falsetto range, Stimson’s voice is soulful even as it accompanies more upbeat, dance tracks. Just Announced: The Black Crowes and Tedeschi Trucks Band will play The Mann Center this August

blackcrowes Southern rockers The Black Crowes will take over The Mann with Tedeschi Trucks Band on August 11th.  Tickets go on sale on Friday, April 12th at 10 AM. The Black Crowes are back with their fourth live album, Wiser for the Time,that includes 26 songs – 15 acoustic and 11 electric – from their 2010 Fall tour. Tedeschi Trucks band, meanwhile, have been going strong since 2010 when husband and wife team Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi teamed up for their joint record Revelator and subsequent 2012 follow-up Everybody’s Talkin’. Below, watch Tedeschi Trucks Band perform “Everybody’s Talkin’” and The Black Crowes doing “Hard to Handle.”

Tonight’s Concert Picks: Tedeschi Trucks Band at The Keswick Theatre, Men Without Hats at The Sellersville Theater

XPN welcomes the Tedeschi Trucks Band to The Keswick Theatre tonight.  Derek Trucks, Susan Tedeschi and their band of eleven are touring in support of their live album Everybody’s Talkin’, which followed up their 2011 Grammy winning debut Revelator.  The Tedeschi Trucks Band performs tonight with Charlie Mars & Band.  Tickets and more information can be found here.  Watch the video for their cover of “Everybody’s Talkin’” below, written by Fred Neil and originally made famous by Harry Nilsson.
