The 51st Annual Philadelphia Folk Festival kicked off last night with an opening night campers-only concert featuring a taping of Live at the World Cafe with Oklahoma singer-songwriter John Fullbright, a raucous set from Rev. Peyton’s Big Damn Band that culminated in a flaming washboard, and drinking songs from The Fighting Jamesons. Check out a photo gallery above, and look for more festival recaps throughout the weekend and early next week.
