Iconic singer songwriter Tori Amos returns to play Verizon Hall tonight. In May, she released a video for “Trouble’s Lament” from her newest album Unrepentant Geraldines. In a recent interview with CBS Sunday, Amos talked poignantly about turning fifty, her world tour and motherhood. Tori Amos, who has been making great music nonstop for over two decades, is back with a new video for “Trouble’s Lament” from her 14th album Unrepentant Geraldines. Set in a diner, the video features Amos and other characters interacting with each other and experiencing occasionally awkward moments. The song brilliantly flows through the video, adding a hint of bluesy eeriness to go along. To celebrate the release of Unrepentant Geraldines, Amos has begun an 80-date international tour, and is making a stop in Philadelphia on August 10th at the Kimmel Center’s Verizon Hall. Tori Amos is touring in support of a new classical music inlfuenced album, Night Of Hunters, due out in September. The world wide tour starts in the States on November 29th in Atlanta. According to her website she has a scheduled tour date in Philly on Thursday, December 1st, however no venue has been announced yet. If you’re a fan, a simple we suggest you put a “save the date” on your calendar. As soon as we hear about the venue we will let you know. On August 15th, 2009 Tori performed a solo Free At Noon concert on WXPN at World Cafe Live. Below, check out her performance of “Silent All These Years” from that concert.
