Two Cities is realizing their destructive nature on “Taken Over”

This week, Philadelphia alternative rockers Two Cities released their new single “Taken Over” and announced their newest EP Paper Planes, out October 26th. This marks the first new material released by the band since the 2012 release of Little Ghost. Being a slightly unorthodox release, Paper Planes was recorded by indie recording superstar Will Yip (whose worked with Tigers Jaw, Anthony Green, The Wonder Years, and a whole lot more) of Studio 4 back in 2013, only to now be released to the public.

Restorations turns down their amps for a Philabundance benefit at Yards Brewery this month

restorationsPunk-rooted Philly five-piece Restorations are among the bands playing the Philly Beergasm, a charity concert at Yards Brewery to benefit local hunger relief organization Philabundance. The music-and-brews themed event on March 28th will bring together local breweries, like the folks from Ambler’s Forest and Main, with local and regional musicians. Along with Restorations – who are about to drop their killer LP2 on SideOneDummy Records – the bill features Two Cities, an alt-punk duo whose Little Ghosts EP was recorded with local hardcore superproducer Wil Yip, and New York folk-influenced rockers The End of America.
