Twin Forks
Twin Forks

Americana folk band Twin Forks, led by Chris Carrabba of Dashboard Confessional, released a five song EP this month. These songs are reminiscent of Dashboard, but they have a much more carefree and laid back attitude that is soaked in a folk rock sound. You can hear a preview of their energetic live show with the acoustic Folkadelphia Session that XPN held a few months ago. Doylestown locals, Commonwealth Choir will also be playing at this show, bringing their new EP Shirtless to life. Just released this week, this EP offers a blend of indie and folk rock that grooves and begs to be sung along to. Check out the recent review of the EP here.Tickets for the event can be found at North Star Bar’s website.

 tyler the creator

Tyler, The Creator, one part of the hip-hop collective Odd Future, is about to embark on his first solo tour alongside Kid Cudi.  Both artists released new albums this past April, Cudi with his third LP, Indicud, and Tyler, The Creator with Wolf.  Both albums bring the two rappers back into the game in new ways; this is Kid Cudi’s first rap album since 2010, while Tyler’s effort sees him testing the waters on writing music that wasn’t centered solely around gruesome themes.  The tour stops at Festival Pier on Penn’s Landing at the end of September.  Listen below for a taste of their new LPs.
