The Indie Rock Hit Parade celebrates the music of 2005!

It was a magical time of Rabbit Fur Coats, Sunlandic Twins and the Mysterious Production of Eggs. 2005 might seem like it was just yesterday, but tonight the Indie Rock Hit Parade dials things back 10 (!?!!) years to salute this standout year in indie music. Tune in at 11pm tonight to hear a two-hour showcase that’ll tickle your nostalgia bone with gems from Sufjan Stevens, LCD Soundsystem and Bright Eyes. We’ll also hear some “forgotten favorites” from Devendra Banhart, Wolf Parade and The Clientele. Check these out:

Tonight’s Concert Picks: Divine Fits at Union Transfer, Franz Nicolay and Erik Petersen of Mischief Brew at First Unitarian, King Tuff and Poor Moon at Johnny Brenda’s

Divine Fits are playing tonight at Union Transfer in support of their debut album, A Thing Called Divine Fits, which was released in August. An indie supergroup of sorts, Divine FIts is spearheaded by Spoon‘s Britt Daniel, New Bomb Turks’ Sam Brow, and Dan Boeckner of Wolf Parade and Handsome Furs. Watch a new video from Divine Fits (playing Union Transfer on 10/22)

American indie rock band Divine Fits pays homage to the ways of ‘60s rockstars with heavy psychedelic throwbacks in their new video for “Would That Not Be Nice.”  It’s the latest single from their debut album, A Thing Called Divine Fits, released in August. Divine Fits, which is Britt Daniel of Spoon, Dan Boeckner of Wolf Parade and Handsome Furs, and New Bomb Turks’ Sam Brow, will be playing an all ages show at Union Transfer on October 22nd; ticket information can be found here.
