Philly Local Philes: Echo Orbiter’s “Mouth Of An Incomplete Twin”

Philly Local PhilesLater this month, Echo Orbiter—the experimental psych-pop project of brothers Justin and Colin Emerle—will release its latest album, Euphonicmontage, on Looking Glass Workshop. It’s something like their 11th or 12th studio album, but that ranking is certainly up for debate if you count outtake compilations, longer EPs, and the like. Whatever the case, these guys are prolific, with a solid resume – they’ve worked with locals like Brian McTear and Lilys as well as national acts like the Elephant 6 collective. The record is out September 28, but the release party comes early: this Saturday, September 18, at Johnny Brenda’s. They’re playing with like-minded Philly band Circadian Rhythms, as well as Joe Jack Talcum from The Dead Milkmen. (His spot on the bill will make a lot more sense once you hear Justin’s irreverent singing voice.)
