Thurston Moore & John Moloney coming to Space 1026 on 12/12

Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore teamed up with frequent on-stage collaborator John Moloney (Howlin’ Rain) for the experimental Caught on Taperelease earlier this year, and the duo is now taking the project on the road.  Moore’s work has spanned the punk rock, avant-garde singer-songwriter and drone-y noise genres over the years and this latest work falls heavily into the latter to the delight of psychedelic distortion fans.  You may recognize Moloney as the sometimes-drummer in Moore’s solo project touring band and more recently as a member of Chelsea Light Moving, a quartet featuring fellow touring band members Keith Wood (Hush Arbors) and Samara Lubelski.  Thurston Moore & John Moloney perform with Speedy Ortiz at Space 1026 on Wednesday, December 12th.  Tickets and information can be found here.  Listen to an excerpt of Caught on Tape below, and download the more rock-angled Chelsea Light Moving tracks for free here.
