Brooklyn’s Red Baraat will bring its jazz and brass funk-fused Indian rhythms to The Blockley stage tonight. The eight-piece ensemble released their Shruggy Ji LP earlier this year via Sinj Records. Back in 2011, the band’s performance at globalFest made Bob Boilen of NPR’s list of favorite shows of the year. Minor Alps will grace the World Cafe Live stage tonight to celebrate their recently released debut album Get There. The pop-rock duo, which is a collaboration of Juliana Hatfield and Nada Surf’s Matthew Caws, craft melodies that highlight how well each of their vocal tones compliment the other. Watch their video for “I Don’t Know What To Do With My Hands” below and get tickets here.

Dream-pop darlings Mazzy Star will melt hearts tonight at Union Transfer. Best known for their 1994 hit “Fade Into You”, the band released their fourth album Seasons of Your Day on Rhymes of an Hour Records after a 17-year hiatus. The band’s sound is carried by Hope Sandoval’s vocals which create a dreamy yet haunting mood. Watch their video for “California” below and get tickets here.
