Hometown hero Dave Hause continues to own a solo career after successful punk rock ventures with bands like The Loved Ones, and he brought his old school rock ‘n’ roll to the Marina Stage tonight.  He played to a relaxed but content crowd, though the longtime Hause fans made themselves known by singing along to songs from both Resolutions (2010) and Devour (2013)

Hause is a familiar face here at the XPoNential Music Festival, most recently playing The Key side stage in 2012 and originally appearing with The Loved Ones in 2008.  This set definitely felt like a homecoming, with his father in the front row and a song dedicated to XPN’s Bruce Warren.  Hause and his band worked through favorites from both releases, including single “We Could Be Kings,” Resolutions standout “C’Mon Kid” and anthemic set closer “The Shine.”  It was a throwback to nostalgic rock a la The Gaslight Anthem and was just plain fun.  Check out photos and the full setlist below.
