As the Made In America fast approaches this weekend, one might feel a bit overwhelmed with the enormous amount of musical options to check out. Don’t feel stressed – we’re here to help! Here are our pics for five must-see performances this weekend, whether you’re catching the festival in person or streaming it on the MIA website. These artists are sure to keep the crowd buzzing well after their set ends.

1. Grimes

Grimes has been moving up the musical totem pole ever-so-surely and may have earned her notch at the top after her cool, twisty track “Oblivion” was named Pitchfork’s number one track of the decade so far. Her most recent release, “Go”, has also stirred some fans due to her recent experimentation with an even edgier electronic sound. Her overall impression is just cool chick vibes and an absolute must-see in the Made In America lineup. Check out the video for Oblivion below!

2. Bleachers

After coming up big with “I Wanna Get Better”, Bleachers has definitely snagged people’s attention with their vintage 80’s pop music blended with a fresh, crisp approach that makes their sound all their own. You might recognize header of the band, Jack Antonoff, from his guitarist position in Fun. In Bleachers, he createdsa cool, John Hughes-esque vibe that you definitely don’t want to miss this upcoming weekend. Watch the video for “I Wanna Get Better” and be sure to swing by for their sure-to-be funtastic performance.

3. Vacationer

If you haven’t taken the time to give a listen to “The Wild Life by Vacationer, I highly recommend checking out the video below – it’ll put you in a much better mindset (even if you were in a good mood already). This Philly-based group is on the ups with their unique, tropical-indie music and putting out ultra positive tracks seem to have an effect on listeners. They’re playing August 31st, and make sure you’re there to bop along with this trio.

4. Bear Hands

Bear Hands is a Brooklyn based synth-induced indie pop group that is sure to put on an amazing show. Created and headed by Dylan Rau, the group has formed an unforgettable sound that has the unbridled capability of sticking in your head. Just have a listen below and make sure you’re there.

5. Young & Sick

Young & Sick is going to be the perfect show to mediate between those dancey, loud sets that will surely be tuckering some folks out. The groovy, mellow synths behind the beautiful vocals of Dutch artist Nick Van Hofwegen make for an easy way to become completely immersed in his musical vision. After working as a successful graphic artist (he designed covers for big names like Foster the People among others), he created the below music video for his song “Continuum”.
