Celebrate Halloween early with Alex G’s eerie “Hollow” video

Just in time for the upcoming Halloween season, Philly multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Alexander Giannascoli, aka Alex G, has rifled through a stash of costumes and masks for his latest music video, “Hollow.” The soothing track featuring twinkling bells and minimal lyrics surprisingly does not clash with the spooky feel of the video; instead, the elements produce a beautifully eerie stroke of musical genius. The scene is foggy, mostly black and white, and features Alex G and company playing instruments in an array of masks ranging from clowns to farm animals to elderly men. The comforting sound of the track puts you in a trance as the video grabs your attention for its entire four-minute runtime. Trust us: you won’t be able to look away or tune out (and you won’t want to either). “Hollow” is a single off of Alex G’s successful DSU LP, and his autumn tour rolls through Johnny Brenda’s on October 5th.
