Get ready to dim the lights and switch on the disco ball – BC Camplight has shared the first track off of his long-anticipated next record How To Die In the North.  “Just Because I Love You” is pristine soul-pop song that is sonically warm and comforting while lyrically hitting at a not-too-comforting truth.

The LP, which follows 2007’s Blink of a Nihilist and comes after what Brian Christinzio calls a “life saving” move to Manchester, England, will be released this coming January on award-winning indie label Bella Union (Beach House, Father John Misty, The Low Anthem).  Back when the announcement was made that the New Jersey native would be joining the ranks of that beacon label, he traded emails with The Key’s John Vettese to talk about what the interim years were like and where he sees the relationship heading.

Listen to “Just Because I Love You” below, followed by a live performance of the song via Manchester Scenewipe.
