Last month, The Mile High House put on a wild, capped show featuring Philly rockers Mumblr and Marietta. There was a line down the street fifteen minutes before they opened the doors. MHH’s latest gig is a benefit show, which has been a recent, heartwarming trend in the Philly DIY scene. The Friday the 13th show lineup features a bunch of young, Philly names consisting of Reward, Weatherhead, Water Polo, Mike Pays Heat and Skinny Dip.

The show is pay what you want, and all proceeds will go towards Project HOME, a Philly non-profit that works with those living below the poverty line in the city and helps with employment, housing, education and healthcare. In the winter months, the organization has a twenty-four hour outreach hotline, with which anyone can call the hotline to report a homeless person on the cold streets who may need shelter. Emo grunge outfit Skinny Dip released their debut EP last month which you can check out below via Bandcamp, along with music from Mike Pays Heat. The show is Feb. 13 and starts at 7:30. Check out the Facebook event page for more details.
