We were introduced to Lafayette, LA band Feufollet earlier this week with a free download of “Know What’s Next” from their upcoming record Two Universes. While XPN’s Zydeco Crossroads spotlights the Creole heritage of the Southwest Louisiana city, Feufollet shows us another side of the musical culture with a blend of pop and indie rock.

Local electro-pop trio Bondage & Discipline shared a third single from their upcoming record as a free download. “First Kiss” is synthy and pop-focused with none of the darkness the band’s name evokes. Check it out below and catch them live tonight at Ortlieb’s.

Rose Windows recorded a session with Folkadelphia last summer that was premiered on The Key this week. The Seattle-based, Sub Pop-signed folk rock outfit performed the two songs the appeared on their 2014 7″ There Is a LightFix Me Another One along with “Bodhi Song” taken from their forthcoming self-titled effort. Stream and download the set below.

The subject of this week’s Key Studio Session was Agudos Clef, a six-piece Latin hip hop group from Trenton, NJ. Key Editor John Vettese was introduced to their high energy and lyrical delivery at last fall’s PHL Live competition where the group connected with the audience through swift rhymes and colorful beats. Listen to “Teoria” below and get the full session here.

Nickel Creek co-founder Sean Watkins released a solo record called All I Do Is Lie last summer and you can download “Wave As We Run” from the LP on his Soundcloud. It’s a sentimental track that fuses gentle finger-picked acoustic guitar and solemn strings with modern folk / rock vocals. Stream and download the song below.
