Record Store Day is this Saturday which means we should be on the look out for copies of limited-run albums and live performances at record stores across the city. At Long In The Tooth in Center City, there will be a free acoustic show featuring No Summer, Mikey Erg, and The Rentiers.

Mikey Erg, formally of NJ punks The Ergs, has a collection of solo lo-fi cover songs including The Velvet Underground’s “I’ll Be Your Mirror” on his Bandcamp page. You can catch him playing a sold-out show at Johnny Brenda’s with The Loved Ones on April 30.

The Rentiers is the latest project from Plow United bassist Joel Tannenbaum (who also writes for The Key from time to time). The four-piece group just released their debut EP, Here Is A List of Things That Exist, that includes Mikey Erg on drums. The EP channels a multitude of genres, from upbeat acoustic punk to a more poppier sound with synth on “The Legend Of Molly Pitcher.” The free acoustic show starts at 7 p.m. and more information can be found on the event’s Facebook page.
