Amidst excitement over the flip-flopping announcements of a possible Twin Peaks reboot, Northern Arms have released a video for their cover of “Sycamore Trees,” written by series composer Angelo Badalamenti and creator David Lynch.

The BITBY-produced video shows the local noir-rockers performing the song in their practice space. It features vocalist PJ Brown stepping into the role that the late Jimmy Scott portrayed in his seminal performance for the show, shifting the band’s eclectic, Arcade Fire-esque rock into a jazzier realm. According to a press release, the band first performed the song at last year’s PAFA exhibit DAVID LYNCH: The Unified Field.

Watch the video below, followed by the Jimmy Peters scene in Twin Peaks. Northern Arms perform at Johnny Brenda’s on Saturday, May 16th with Mercury Radio Theater; tickets and information can be found here.
