Returning to our studios for this Indie Rock Hit Parade live session are our friends from Roanoke, VA, Eternal Summers. The trio recently released their fourth full-length album, Gold And Stone, and it’s undoubtedly their best yet. After a few years as a duo, guitarist Nicole Yun and drummer Daniel Cundiff were joined by bassist Jonathan Woods. The band’s sound always bears slight changes from album to album, and Gold And Stone is no different. This session features four live performances of songs from the new record.

Always balancing between dreamy and aggressive, Eternal Summers kick things into high gear on these new songs. “Together Or Alone” and “Come Alive” are your anthemic barn-burners, while “The Roses” is more blissed out. Then there’s album (and session) closer “Bloom,” a midtempo rocker that’s not afraid to show its fangs.
