Watch Dawes cover Billy Joel’s “Big Shot” at #XPNFest
One of the biggest highlight of the 2015 XPoNential Music Festival was Dawes‘ Friday night headlining set (read a recap here), and one of the highlights of that set was an encore cover of “Big Shot” by Billy Joel.
Drummer Griffin Goldsmith took lead on it, and his delivery is so spot-on similar to Long Island’s favorite son that I was over in the production tent wondering why we were blaring 52nd Street over the PA.
