Ten years ago, Philadelphia-via-Delaware hip-hop artist Hezekiah released his debut LP, Hurry Up and Wait via Soulspazm Records. It is a 15-track hip-hop epic, consisting of lovely melodies, snappy percussion, and clever wordplay. It also features notable featured artists such as Aaron Livingston of Son Little, Scratch of The Roots, and Santigold.

Ten years later, Hezekiah found that he had enough remixes and unreleased songs from that time period to make up an entire album. This week, Hezekiah released Still Waiting… the ten-year anniversary remix album of Hurry Up and Wait. The remixes of Hezekiah’s debut put a funky, modern, and melodic twist on the originals. These remixes feature artists like Son Little, Scratch, Santigold, Bahamadia, Chief Kamachi, Grand Agent, Keziah, Richard Raw, Eleon, and a remix by Phase One.

Listen to Still Waiting… below, and catch Hezekiah tonight at Voltage Lounge.
