For years, Walla Fest has brought local music fans consistent joy with their knack for putting together eclectic shows which are able to capture the sheer awesomeness of the Philly local music and art scene. During their time, they have given bands and artists like Alex G., Pine Barons, Mannequin Pussy, Vita and the Woolf and countless others the chance to shine and this December the folks at Walla Fest will be putting on their final event, this time at The Pharmacy, making it one you won’t want to miss out on.

As always, it is an event for art to thrive and will feature some truly rad performances. Headlining are punk-rockers Straw Hats, a side project for a couple of the guys from The Districts – who also headline the Tinseled Shut show last night. Joining them are singer-songwriter Abi Reimold, indie-pop up-and-comers Roof Doctor and many more. There will also present art showcases from local talent and and will screen a short film based on the iconic play “The Death of a Salesman”, making it a full night of Philly talent.

Seeing as this is Walla Fest’s swan song, they have decided to make the whole thing only $5 which is more reason to stop by The Pharmacy on December 27. The festivities will kick off at 7 p.m. and you can score tickets and get more information here. Also, check out a video of Pine Barons performing at 2014’s Walla Fest below.
