John Carpenter, the director/composer known for various cult films such as Halloween, Escape From New York, and Assault on Precinct 13, has announced the release of his second studio album, as well as a concert at The Keswick Theatre.

Carpenter, who released his first studio album Lost Themes last year, will release the sequel, Lost Themes II, in April. He has shared the album’s first single, “Distant Dream,” a darkly ambient piece of spaced out minimalism that takes the listener out of their world and into his own.

Joining Carpenter for his tour will be his son, Cody, his godson Daniel Davies, and a full backing band. The show will be a mix of his scores and songs from Lost Themes I & II.

Lost Themes II is out April 15th on Sacred Bones. For more information on the show at The Keswick, follow the link here.
